JOB DESCRIPTION

Saline Athletics is seeking an outstanding individual to lead our JV Girls Basketball team as JV Head Coach. Interested candidates must understand their responsibility to be exemplary role models (on and off the job), great teachers (of sport-specific and general life skills), and great communicators (with players, parents, and the broader school community).

 

This position supports the Head Coach in fostering a positive and inclusive team culture focused on leadership, development, and sportsmanship—aligned with the educational mission and athletic philosophy of Saline Area Schools.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS, WORK HAZARDS

Work in school environments including indoor and outdoor athletic facilities. Requires physical stamina, communication skills, and mental alertness. Includes standing, walking, lifting, and navigating athletic spaces. Travel may be required for away contests and practices.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise athletes during all team-related activities. Reports to the Head Coach.

 

EQUIPMENT

Use and maintenance of athletic equipment relevant to the sport.

 

TRAVEL

Travel required for practices, games, and events.

 

WORK SCHEDULE

Seasonal with some year-round program responsibilities. Practices and competitions typically occur after school hours and on weekends.

 

FLSA STATUS

Non-Exempt
