JOB DESCRIPTION

The Foundation for Saline Area Schools (FSAS) is seeking a relationship-driven, organized, and mission-focused leader to serve as our next Executive Director. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys community engagement, fundraising, communications, and translating a mission into clear plans and results - while partnering closely with a supportive Board of Trustees and school leadership.

 

Founded in 1987, FSAS funds innovative educational programs, activities, and events that supplement core school budgets - helping students across Saline Area Schools thrive. We raise, steward, and distribute funds to bring meaningful opportunities to classrooms and students.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

In the first 6–12 months, you will: 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS, WORK HAZARDS

Work in standard office and school building environments requiring mobility, visual and auditory acuity, communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, adaptability, technology proficiency, physical stamina and environmental awareness.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supported by part-time administrative support and a volunteer/event committee structure

 

WORK SCHEDULE

Averages approximately 25 hours/week, flexible schedule; some evenings/weekends during events

 

FLSA STATUS

Exempt

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

SALARY

$42,000–$47,000 annually, commensurate with experience
