JOB DESCRIPTION
This position provides support directly to students through lunch supervision and office assistance. In supervising grade level lunches, the Lunch Supervisor and Office Support Person ensures safety, focuses on building relationships with students, and fostering respect, responsibility, and kindness. Additionally, under the direct supervision of the building principal, the Lunch Supervisor and Office Support Person provides a wide variety of complex and administrative / clerical support by answering phone calls, checking students into the building, assisting in the health room, and supporting a range of tasks completed by the office assistants. This person complies with all building and Saline Area Schools expectations, legal requirements, and MDE / SAS policy requirements.
SALARY
EDUstaff Employee $15.00- $17.00/Hour
Part time hours- 4.0 Hours/Day
10 Month position
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Graduation from high school
- Exemplary customer service skills
Preferred Experience.
- Prior training in diversity, equity and inclusion
- College level coursework in business, word processing, and office procedures
- Associates or Bachelor's degree
- Successful experience with office management in related area
- Organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of office management procedures.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations, District policies and procedures, principles, guidelines, and best practices related to department (e.g., Pupil Services, Human Resources, Facilities and Business).
JOB RESPONSIBILITES
- Supervise the lunchroom with high expectations and promote a positive social atmosphere
- Assist visitors entering and exiting the building
- Utilize visitor management systems to screen and vet visitors to the building
- Serve as initial triage for students who may be ill. Seek medical assistance from a school nurse as needed
- Serve as a second person for medication distribution
- Provide exemplary customer service to visitors, callers, emails, and fax communications.
- Maintain a positive attitude and be a team player
- Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the school building and Saline Area Schools
